Now is the time to start thinking about your entry for your chance to win, with nominations due on November 1.
"We are so excited to see what our regional artists produce this year after the year we have had," acting director, Kate Tuart, said.
If you don't know where to start, contact BAMM to purchase and collect your very own 'portrait art pack' or sign-up to the upcoming life drawing and portraiture workshop this Saturday, October 9 via the BAMM website.
The competition is open to all ages and artworks in all media with a prize pool of over $7000 including:
- Australian Food and Fibre grand (open) prize $5000
- Peter and Julie Taylor local prize $1500
- C&W Financial Services people's choice prize $500
- Rhodes Kildea Lawyers under 18s prizes:
- 16-18 years winner $250, highly commended $75
- 13-15 years winner $150, highly commended $50
- 9-12 years winner $100, highly commended $25
- 5-8 years winner $80, highly commended $20
"We could not be more thankful to our sponsors this year for these generous cash prizes," Ms Tuart said. "It shows these businesses coming together to support regional arts and encouraging creativity within their community."
Entry forms are available from the BAMM website or from BAMM when delivering artwork.
One artwork per person should be delivered to BAMM ready to hang with a completed application form between October 25 and November 1.
The exhibition runs from November 12 until December 24. Schools interested in entering are encouraged to contact BAMM staff to ensure they meet requirements.
