Organisers are excited to announce that this year's grand prize has jumped to an impressive $5000 cash, courtesy of Australian Food and Fibre.
Additional prizes include the Rhodes Kildea Lawyers under 18s prizes with a cash pool of $750, C&W Financial Services people's choice $500, and the Peter and Julie Taylor local prize $1500, which is reserved for locally practicing artists.
There is just two months until entries are on November 1, so now is the time to start thinking about your work.
BAMM acting director, Kate Tuart, said artists should anticipate fierce competition for the grand prize, with the expectation that there will be a high calibre of entries from across Australia.
She said, this shouldn't deter artists, as local residents based within a 125km radius will be entered into both the grand prize and the local prize, to double their chances of winning.
"We could not be more thankful to our sponsors this year for these generous cash prizes. After the year we have had and continue to have, it shows these businesses coming together to support regional arts and encouraging creativity within their community," Ms Tuart said.
One artwork per person should be delivered to BAMM ready to hang with a completed application form between Oct 2 and November 1.
The exhibition runs from December 3 until February 12, 2022. Schools interested in entering are encouraged to contact BAMM staff to ensure they meet requirements.
Entry forms and more information is available on the BAMM website.
