According to the statement, medical supplies worth more than $US23 million ($A30 million) were seized during the operation.
"As the pandemic forced more people to move their lives online, criminals were quick to target these new 'customers,'" Interpol chief Juergen Stock said.
Authorities of 92 countries took part in the operation Pangea XIV, closing or removing a record 113,000 web links including websites and online marketplaces.
The first operation of this kind happened in 2008.
Criminals are cashing in on the pandemic, Interpol said.
Fake or not authorised coronavirus tests made up more than half of the seized medical supplies.
In Italy, investigators discovered half a million counterfeit surgical masks.
