A man will appear in court today after police seized drugs and weapons during a vehicle stop in Moree overnight.

Around 9.30pm on Thursday, October 15 officers attached to the New England Proactive Crime Team stopped a vehicle travelling along the Newell Highway at Moree.
During a search of the vehicle police located 47 grams of white powder believed to be cocaine, a ballistic vest and three tasers.
All items seized will undergo further examination.

The 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Moree Police Station where he was charged with supplying prohibited drug indictable quantity and two counts of possessing a prohibited weapon.
The man, from Queensland, was also charged with an outstanding warrant relating to fraud offences. He was refused bail to appear at Moree Local Court sometime on Friday.
Investigations are continuing.
