The Unveiled: Love, Lace and Longing exhibition, a collaboration between BAMM and The Moree Gallery, opened on Friday and already close to 200 people have been through the doors to check it out.
The exhibition features 80 couture wedding dresses made by acclaimed local dressmaker Melinda O'Donoghue and worn by brides from across the country over the past 20 years, along with artist Jo White's latest body of work which explores themes of the heart.
BAMM interim director Kate Tuart said the public response to the exhibition has been really positive.
"There's already been a lot of talk across town about it," she said.
"And there's been a lot of talk in the region," The Moree Gallery's Gig Moses added.
"Quite a few people have said they're going to travel from neighbouring towns to visit."
Nine of Jo White's paintings had sold on the first day of the exhibition, which Mrs Moses said was pleasing.
"Jo has a great feeling for nostalgia with a contemporary twist," she said.
"There's something about these paintings - most of them are based on old photographs and people see themselves in them," Ms Tuart added.
Pat Bailey was one of the visitors to the exhibition on Friday and was full of praise.
"It is stunning," she said.
"It is amazing that someone can live at Gurley and produce such things; she has such talent," she said of Melinda O'Donoghue.
"The dresses are all different and all absolutely gorgeous."
The exhibition runs until November 14.
Tickets are currently on sale for two Art After Dark events, on Thursday, October 1 and Thursday, November 5.
Attendees will be treated to a glass of bubbly and canapes from The Goods Catering as they join Melinda on a behind the scenes tour of her wedding gowns.
Limited tickets are available and can be purchased from www.trybooking.com/BLJQG.
