Unfortunately it was another three losses for the Suns, with the under-17s and senior women still searching for their first win of the year while the senior men have one victory over the Tamworth Kangaroos back in round two.
The under-17s started the day, battling through a strong breeze as well as some rain in a fiery clash against the Saints.
The Suns finished with just three less scoring shots than their opponents but some errant goal kicking didn't help the home side, the Saints taking out a 11-8-74 to 3-13-31 win. Alex Lawrence, Jack Ross and Connor Williams kicked the goals for the Suns.
The women were up next, facing a tough match against last year's premiers.
The Saints were in control from start to finish, a 10 goal first half setting the tone. The Suns were ultimately held scoreless as Inverell finished with a 12-12-84 to 0-0-0 win.
The senior men finished off the day, searching for their second win of the year back on their home ground.
Both sides struggled to manage the strong wind that was still present, but the Saints were able to convert their chances better.
A stingy Saints defence repelled the Suns on numerous occasions, while their forwards were able to take advantage of their opportunities. The game wasn't out of the Suns reach at half time, however, with the score sitting at 4-5-29 to 0-1-1.
The Saints came out the stronger team in the second half against a fighting Suns outfit, a late goal by Adrian Smith ensuring they at least got a major on the board, the final score 11-11-77 to 1-2-8.
The men will face the Kangaroos this weekend, with the women taking on the Swans and the under-17s playing the Glen Innes Celts.
