A 12-year-old motorbike rider was hospitalised after he suffered 'extensive multiple fractures' in an accident on a New England farm on Sunday, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service said.

In the fourth callout of the weekend for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, the service was called to the scene about 11.50am.
The young boy suffered the injuries in a motorbike accident at a property at Glen Innes.

Ambulance Service paramedics helped treat him for the injuries alongside the Westpac Helicopter critical care medical team. He was stabilised at the scene, according to the helicopter service.
He was airlifted to Newcastle's John Hunter in a stable condition for further treatment.
An earlier medical evacuation was delayed when the helicopter was unable to land in Bolivia on Saturday due to heavy wind, sleet and low cloud. Saturday's poor conditions forced a 24 year old man to travel by road ambulance for an hour.
The helicopter service was again called on Sunday morning at 3am to carry out an urgent medical transfer for a 74-year-old female patient at the Moree Hospital.
The 24-year-old was flown to Lismore in a stable condition. The 74-year-old was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
