Co-creator of newly launched online course Sounds good to me, Anne has over 30 years' experience in the industry and is passionate about early childhood education.
"It's quite apparent in kindergarten that some children are ahead of the game already, even at that age," Anne said.
As Integrated Care manager for local not-for-profit HealthWISE, Anne is deeply committed to community health.
"I'm very interested in what we call the social determinants of health, and they're the things in our life to do with the environment where we live, work, grow and age that influence our ability to be healthy," she said.
"People who have a good education and secure housing and a stable income are more likely to be healthy than those who don't, and the best way to achieve that is through education, in my opinion."

Anne was inspired to create a pre-literacy program for early educators after learning that many children were already falling behind as they transitioned into school from preschool or daycare.
"We identified that by upskilling the early childhood educators, we could help get the kids ready before they started school," she said.
In the 30 minute webinar, Anne will provide a sneak peak of the full program, which covers phonological awareness and school readiness for educators working with children aged three to six-years-old.
Phonological awareness, also known as sound awareness, refers a range of skills demonstrating the understanding that words are made up of smaller parts such as syllables and sounds.
Children with strong phonological awareness are more likely to be successful readers.
Anne will touch on how to teach listening and language skills, rhyming, sound awareness, segmenting and blending of sounds.
The live webinar will air at 6pm on Wednesday, August 5. To learn more or register, visit www.soundsgoodtome.com.au.
