Blake Jarrett's second goal for Narrabri in the dying stages levelled the scores at 2-2 and meant both teams walked away with a draw.
Narrabri got out to a 1-0 lead at half time but Moree came out the stronger side in the second, claiming an own goal off a corner before Brad McLane took the lead for his side about 10 minutes later.
"It was a good passage of play where the boys passed the ball around, Brad beat one or two players to get a shot off on goal and hit the back of the net," coach Matt Urquhart said.
"I was pretty happy with that, that the boys were able to take a shot at goal and get it in the back of the net."

Urquhart said fatigue really played a factor, particularly late in the game, as Moree had no substitutes left on the bench after one of their players was forced off inside the first 20 minutes with a broken ankle.
"We were giving away far too many penalties. We weren't contesting as hard as we should have for the ball," he said.
"To be honest, I think we were lucky to hold out for the draw."
There were some pretty clear areas of improvement highlighted from the game for Urquhart, including attacking the ball harder as well as some clearer communication, particularly in the midfield.
He was pleased they were able to hold on for a draw, however, given the circumstances, while Kenny Wright was a standout, putting on an "absolutely phenomenal" performance in the midfield.
There were some great passages of passing but doing it on a more consistent basis will be they key moving forward.
"Discipline was a big factor that we need to work on. Fatigue just brought in really lazy penalties from us," Urquhart said.
Some extra players on the bench could've made a major difference for the side, according to Urquhart.
"We believe if we had one or two extra players, just to get a few fresh legs on the park, we might not have gone the draw," he said.
"We might have actually kept the lead or might have increased it."
The result means Moree stays in second while Narrabri will hold their spot on top of the ladder. Moree will host Wee Waa United in round four this weekend.
