Moree went home with a 3-0 win, bouncing back from a 1-0 loss to Wee Waa United in round one, with Athol Boney, Kai Gainey and Tyson Gainey scoring the goals for the home side.
"We're still sorting out players and positions, new players into the team and we actually had another three new players," Moree Services FC's Darrel Smith said.
"It wasn't too bad a win. We actually worked out a few things we were doing at training, working the ball out of the back of the field and playing into gaps between their defenders and that seemed to work really well.
"We really built up and had good possession of the ball this game. It really showed that our new players are starting to get into the structure that we want them to play and also the positions."
Despite scoring three goals, Smith said finishing off goal scoring opportunities still needs to be improved.
"We've been working so much on getting that ball out from the back third of the field," he said.
"We got to the penalty box, we created lots of chances but didn't put it back in the net.
"We've got to work on a bit of our finishing to make sure the next game, if we only create two or three chances that we're scoring on most of them.
"We were just a bit wasteful in front of goals on the weekend."
Moree will be playing at home once again this weekend when they face a tough match against Narrabri Sporties FC.
"We've got a couple of players that were suspended at the end of last year coming back into the side so it makes it a bit stronger," Smith said.
