The AFL North West draw has been released and the Moree Suns will face a tough opening match up against the Saints.

Both the senior men and senior women will travel to Inverell on July 18 to take on last year's minor premiers and premiers, respectively.

The under-17s will have to wait another week to get their season under way, when they take on the Tamworth Roosters in Moree.

In a shortened competition, the men and women will play 10 rounds before first and second place go straight through to the grand final.

The juniors will play out a seven-round regular season which will be followed by a three week finals series involving four teams.

Following the opener against the Saints, the men will enjoy two home games in a row against the Tamworth Kangaroos and New England Nomads, while the women will travel to Tamworth to take on the Swans and before returning home to face the Gunnedah Bulldogs.
