The new call and collect service is a no-contact service; members can call the library to find a book they would like to borrow, select a collection time and then pick up their books from Moree Community Library.
Big Sky Libraries manager Sally Walters is excited to offer book borrowing back to the community.

"Staff at Big Sky Libraries have reinvented the way the community can borrow books, DVDs, audiobooks and magazines from the library in the wake of the coronavirus pandemics," she said.
"Although members can no longer use the library space, they can certainly still borrow books, they simply need to call the library to check what is available, select a pick-up time and collect their books at this time from the Moree Community Library.
"The books also have an extended loan date and so they do not need to be returned until June 30.
"Upon return, a book will be quarantined for five days, wiped down and then placed back on the shelves to be borrowed again."
The books will be placed just outside the library doors for members to pick up at their elected collection time.
At this time the borrowing service is only available via phone call. Members who wish to borrow a book from the library or speak with a staff member about a specific genre they are interested in should call (02) 6757 3374.
Staff will not be available at the Moree Community Library over the Easter public holidays to place book reservations or book collection times.
