Moree property owners are being urged to come forward after a man was arrested for being in possession of stolen goods.

Officers from Moree stopped a black Toyota Hilux, which was travelling north along the Newell Highway, near Gwydirfield Road, Moree at about 2am on Thursday.
Police had cause to search the vehicle, during which three 20 litre chemical drums containing about 60L of diesel were located in the rear tub, with diesel seen to be leaking from the containers.
A long length of blue hose, cut at both ends, as well as an industrial fuel pump with cut wires and cut hose ends still attached were also located.

A further search was conducted of two large black carry bags in the rear of the ute, with police locating numerous items alleged to have been stolen, including:
- One Alpine head unit with a large display screen with wires still attached
- One Alpine amplifier with wires attached
- One yellow Dewalt angle grinder with two battery packs
- Numerous Snap-on tools and ratchets
- Lengths of speaker wire believed to be from the Alpine sound system
- Numerous yellow tool boxes containing auto electrical fittings
- One large white 4x4 Snatch Strap.
The 29-year-old male driver was arrested and taken to Moree Police Station where he was charged with seven counts of goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen and one count of breaching bail. He was bail refused to attend Inverell Local Court on Thursday, March 5.
Detective Sergeant Bennett Nolan, Rural Crime Prevention Team North West Zone Coordinator, urged Moree property owners to come forward.
"We believe these proactive efforts by local police will result in thefts being identified, and that the property may have been very recently stolen from rural premises around Moree," he said.
"We urge anyone who may have similar items to check if they are missing and if so, report it to us immediately.
"We would also ask that any potential evidence be preserved for forensic analysis where possible, so try to avoid repeatedly touching toolboxes or opening doors if you do discover items missing, until we can examine the scene."
