Although there were fewer teams participating in this year's annual fundraising golf day due to work commitments, those who did take part managed to raise an impressive $42,000 for Moree Rugby Union Club.
"It's just incredible, considering the hard times this community has been through," Moree Rugby Union Club president Paul King said.
"It's unreal."
Last year the club raised just under $50,000 through the jersey auction at the golf day - one of the club's biggest fundraisers each year, however King said they certainly weren't expecting to come close to that this year considering the effects the drought has had on the community.

"The community support that the club receives is just amazing," he said.
"It's a credit to the town, especially considering the adversity we've gone through, to raise that amount of money."
All money was raised through the auction of the first and reserve grade jerseys. This year there was extra incentive for businesses or individuals to sponsor a jersey, with sponsors' names to be printed on the back of the jerseys.
Bench jumpers were also auctioned off this year, and will provide great exposure to sponsors, as the back of the reserves are on show to the crowd for long periods of time while they're on the bench.
"It's just more advertising for people who spend money with us," King said.
King thanked David Watts and Luke Whan for conducting the auction, as well as the community for their continued support.
The Bulls will take to the field for the first time this season in Goondiwindi on Friday night for their annual trial match against the Emus.
