As part of Moree Seniors' Festival celebrations, which will run from March 29 to April 4, a Senior Citizen of the Year will be named at the annual luncheon at Moree Services Club on Wednesday, April 1.
The award will be presented to someone aged 60 years or over who has made a significant contribution to the community in some way, for example, has been active as a member of a club, church or other organisation; has talents in the arts, public speaking, business, sport etc; good personal qualities; or has coped with personal hardships.
Last year Aunty Mary Swan was named the 2019 Senior Citizen of the Year for her involvement in and dedication to the Moree community.
If you know of someone who is deserving of this award, send a nomination to Seniors Festival Committee, Mrs Lorraine Bartel, 363 Gwydirfield Road, Moree NSW 2400 by Wednesday, March 18.
