The fresh-faced kindergarten students were all smiles as they walked through the gates of St Philomena's in their brand new uniforms, with mums, dads, brothers, sisters, grandparents and others by their side for the first day of their schooling career.
This year there are about 36 kindergarten students at St Philomena's, making up two classes with Mel Schweitzer and Ellie Johnson this year's kindergarten leaders of learning.

Moree Public School students also had their first day of kindergarten on Thursday, while Moree Christian School's kinder class began on Tuesday.
Moree East Public School kindergarten students will start on Friday.
