BAMM was one of only six sites chosen to host the 2019 Archibald Prize and Young Archies regional tour.
Interim director Kate Tuart said BAMM is delighted to be able to bring the Archibald to the bush.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the Archibald Prize at BAMM," she said.
"There is an exciting line-up of events planned and we are going to be joined by some special guests throughout the exhibition.
"It will be wonderful for the town and our region and we encourage everyone to come along and take in the fun and entertainment of the Archibald Prize."

Awarded to the best painting of a notable Australian, the Archibald Prize is a who's who of Australian culture, from politicians to celebrities, sporting heroes to artists. First awarded in 1921, the Archibald is one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious art awards, and one that often creatures a stir.
The Art Gallery of NSW touring exhibition, made possible thanks to presenting partner ANZ, provides people in regional areas the opportunity to view all the 2019 Archibald Prize finalists in person.
BAMM's festivities will kick off with an opening cocktail night on Friday, March 20 from 6pm, with winning artist Tony Costa and Art Gallery of NSW' Packing Room Prize judge Brett Cuthbertson to be the special guests.
Tickets to the opening night go on sale on Saturday, February 15.
The Archibald Prize and Young Archies exhibition runs from March 20 to May 2.
