Northern Inland Football (NIF) board of directors has announced its component of community football registration fees applied to players participating in local competitions in the region will remain the same to ensure that the region's largest club-based sport remains affordable for families.
NIF, which is geographically the largest zone in Northern NSW Football (NNSWF), saw a total of 6,137 players registered in the 2019 season, which was a 3.65 per cent increase from 2018.

Junior numbers were also up, as the entry level age groups of four to seven years and eight to 11 years saw a 2.77 per cent increase.
The zone also saw an increase in female participation, which rose by 7.76 percent, largely thanks to new programs such as Kick on for Women and Aldi MiniRoos for Girls that encouraged more females to take up the sport.
