Artists wishing to enter the annual prize now have until 5pm on Friday, November 15 to submit their artworks to Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM).
Now in its third year, the Moree Portrait Prize has become a highlight of BAMM's annual program.
BAMM interim director Kate Tuart is excited for what the third instalment of the Moree Portrait Prize will bring, anticipating more entries from our local region and beyond.
"Last year over 150 local and regional artists entered, this year we are aiming for over 200," she said.
"Whether you're a hobbyist or professional artist, we want to give you the opportunity to exhibit professionally at BAMM."
The Moree Portrait Prize is open to all ages and is free to enter.
This year's categories have been expanded to include four under 18s age groups, as well as Local Prize, People's Choice Prize and Grand Prize for adults.
"Additional under 18s categories allow up-and-coming artists to compete against children of the same age and skill level," Ms Tuart said.
"We are also very excited to announce highly commended cash prizes in each category.
"Our wonderful local sponsors make this event possible through their valuable support of this popular community event."
