Alyssa Duncan and Grace Carter will be competing in the regional public speaking finals in Warialda on Monday, November 11, after each taking out the local competition through Moree Rotary Club and Moree-on-Gwydir Rotary Club.
Alyssa took out the Moree Rotary Club public speaking competition back in September with her speech about passions.
"We had to do a five-minute speech on any topic and it had to include the Rotary four-way test - is it the truth, fair to all, beneficial, and does it build goodwill and better friendships?," Alyssa said.
"My speech was about passion - the fuelling of passions and being able to strive for something. If you're passionate about something, you can achieve a lot."

With only one point the difference between first and second place, Alyssa just managed to scrape through to the next round, which she said was a shock.
"I didn't expect to go through," she said.
"My speech was last-minute; I wasn't going to go until Grace encouraged me.
"I'm excited to go to regionals now to see what it will be like against the other clubs in the cluster."
Although Grace missed out with Moree Rotary Club, her speech about technology and its impact on society proved a winner at the more recent Moree-on-Gwydir Rotary Club competition, which she won on October 22.
"I felt a bit more confident the second time around," Grace said.
"I haven't done a lot of public speaking before."
Grace said she's feeling nervous about the regional competition.
The year 11 students will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow MSC student Elka Devney, who last year won the Rotary District 9650 public speaking competition final.
