Birrang Enterprise Development Company are returning to Moree to offer a free service to help people in the area obtain their driver's licence.

Birrang is a non for profit organisation based in Orange that helps people obtain their driver's licence from their learner's to their P1 licence completely free.

The service provides classes for people who don't yet have their licence that prepares them for the driver's knowledge test.

Birrang was in Moree in July and August 2018, where around 30 students participated in the program.

The program was also run in Boggabilla through October and November 2018 where eight participants passed their driving test and 12 gained their learner's licence.

They are returning next month for another five week program, beginning on November 5. It will run for three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for five weeks at the SHAE Academy.

There will be lessons from 9am to 1pm for those wanting to acquire their learner's licence driving lessons from 1pm to 5pm for those going for their P1 licence.
