The 40 over competition will run until the end of this year, finishing on December 21, with a twenty20 competition set to begin next year.
The 2019 competition will feature five teams fighting it out for the title, one more than what competed in the 2018 one day competition.
The Stallions are back and will be looking to defend their title from a year ago after they defeated Rangs by 16 runs in last year's A-grade grand final.
The Colts, Golfies, Soapy Rowe and the Amaroo Tavern Vikings round out the rest of the competition.
The action kicks off this weekend with two games taking place at Ron Harborne Oval.
The first match will be between Colts and Soapy Rowe while Golfies will face off against last year's champions the Stallions in the other match up.
The Vikings have the bye to start their season off, with their first taste of action against Soapy Rowe next weekend.
Games begin at 1pm on Saturday, October 12 at Ron Harborne Oval.
