The 2018 competition saw over 200 entries from across Australia with strong support from the local community.
BAMM interim director Kate Tuart is excited for what the third installment of the Moree Portrait Prize will bring, anticipating more entries from our local region and beyond.
"Last year over 150 local and regional artists entered, this year we are aiming for over 200," she said.
"Whether you're a hobbyist or professional artist, we want to give you the opportunity to exhibit professionally at BAMM."

The Moree Portrait Prize is open to all ages and is free to enter. This year's categories have been expanded to include four under-18s age groups, as well as Local Prize, People's Choice and Grand Prize for adults.
"Additional under-18s categories allow up and coming artists to compete against children of the same age and skill level," Ms Tuart said.
"We are also very excited to announce highly commended cash prizes in each category. Our wonderful local sponsors make this event possible through their valuable support of this popular community event."
The cash prizes range from $80 up to $1,500 for the Grand Prize.
The 2019 Moree Portrait Prize Opening Night will take place on Friday, December 6 and the exhibition will be on display until January 17 to allow locals and tourists alike a chance to come in and see the show.
