Savouring a delicious local menu, relaxing with friends and with live entertainment setting the atmosphere, Moree on a Plate president Bethany Kelly said it was the opportunity for Moree to relax and have fun.

"The season has not been kind, but this event is - there are no raffles, no merchandise sales, no auctions - basically no reason to put your hand in your pockets for hidden extras," she said.

Treen White of Relish Catering has developed a mouth-watering local menu, with a focus on Gwydir Grove Olive Oils in celebration of the retirement of this iconic local business after 25 years.

Guests will also be wowed by highly acclaimed band, Three Legged Pig Dogs, with the long lunch crowd always partial to a bit of a boogie later in the afternoon.

"It's always so fun to see guests letting their hair down and enjoying themselves; it really is one of the happiest days of the year and we're so excited for this year's event," Bethany said.

Held in the grounds of B&W Rural, Bethany reminded guests that there were no cars to be left on the grounds or perimeter overnight, and that there would be bus transport back into town in the early evening.
