From superheroes and sports stars to princesses and pirates, a range of book characters were brought to life at a special Book Week assembly on Wednesday, August 28.
Moree East's hall was a sea of colour as classes took turns showing off their impressive costumes (and dance moves) to peers, family and friends who came along to join in the day's celebrations.
The event was a combined Book Week (August 17 to 23) and Education Week (August 5 to 9) celebration, with students able to purchase books in the book fair, while parents and carers had the opportunity to see just what their children have been learning in class.
This year's Book Week theme is 'Reading is my Secret Power'.
