Moree Show 'n' Shine was started by Phil Partridge to raise money for a student trip to Japan.
This year, up to 100 vehicles will be displayed at Jellicoe Park, ranging from hot-rods, Holdens, Fords, classic, four-wheel-drives, competition cars as well as motorcycles, trucks, tractors and even stationary engines.
"A lot of the visitors come to town either the Friday before or the Saturday and don't leave until the Monday giving the town an economic boost," Moree Motor Enthusiast Club member Sonia Rowe said.
"It has grown over the years to become a major event in Moree, making it the largest market day for the year, bringing visitors and car lovers from all over including Sydney, Newcastle, Tamworth, Gunnedah, Inverell and Goondiwindi."

The expo is well supported by businesses in town, with dealer displays by Hill Fitzsimmons, Tait Auto, Black Truck and Ag, Thomas-Lee Motorcycles and Barry Motors Inverell.
Other businesses supporting the event, whether by trade displays or donations, are SuperCheap, Kenway and Clark, Campbells BP, Jocks Hire and Coates Hire.
Moree Plains Shire Council gave the club a large donation for advertising and running costs.
"V6 Conversion is our major sponsor as they are every year and have been a great support as well," Sonia says.
"This year, the Regional Australia Bank has come aboard with large sponsorship as well, making it easier for us to keep our costs down elsewhere in these hard times.
"We have a visiting club from Newcastle area called the Jaguar Drivers' Club Hunter region with about 10 cars, which should be a great display.
"Our club cars are there on display only, to give all other entries a fair go."
Moree Plains Shire Council Katrina Humphries will judge local cars in their own category.
The day is a family affair, with food and drinks available, a jumping castle for the children, live band and the markets "so there is something for everyone and a great day for dads for Father's Day", Sonia says.
"The Moree Motor Enthusiast Club all comes together and works hard all day to make it a fantastic day for everyone."
Funds raised will be donated to local charities.
