She said she loves being able to help people in the community with all of their health and beauty needs.
"Being able to help customers to manage their medications is very fulfilling when I know how overwhelming it can be for them," she said.
"I love the customers and the staff as well. We have a fantastic team at Moree Amcal and I'm blessed to work in such a professional environment. It's such a fun, happy place to work which makes it a lot easier to come to work every day."
Ashleigh was nominated for the award by Tian Harris who said Ashleigh "always goes above and beyond whenever I go into the pharmacy and always helps everyone in their time of need".
"She always has a smile on her face and puts a smile on your face," Tian said.
"Ashleigh is an asset to the Amcal pharmacy."
Ashleigh thanked Tian for her nomination.
"It's really nice to be recognised in the community for the hard work we put in, not just in pharmacy but in retail in general," she said.
"Some days can be tough, there is a lot of pressure, so it's nice to be noticed.
"For all those who voted for me, thank you for all taking the time to vote and also for thinking enough of me and the hard work I put in to vote, I do truly appreciate it."
Voting for the August 2019 award is now open at the Moree Thumbs Up! Thumbs Down! Facebook page.
