Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM) has this year been running Art 101 workshops, to take budding local artists back to basics and help them to build a solid foundation to develop their practice at any level.
The next Art 101 workshop will be portrait drawing with local artist Josie Birchall on Saturday, August 31.

The portrait drawing workshop is aimed at beginners or those wanting a refresh on the basics.
BAMM education officer Anna Jackman said the portrait drawing workshop is a great opportunity for people who are considering entering the 2019 Moree Portrait Prize later this year.
"The workshop will help you gain an understanding of the fundamentals of portrait drawing, giving you the confidence to create a new work for the 2019 Moree Portrait Prize," she said.
The workshop is for adults. If someone under the age of 18 wishes to take part, they must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost is $50 per person, which includes the supply of all materials, as well as tea and coffee. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch, as well as a photo of someone they would like to do a portrait of for their final work. Friends of BAMM receive 25 per cent off all art classes.
