Ola, the central character, is a snow-woman who must traverse through various fairytale stories in order to find a missing object of great importance to her.

Incorporating characters, songs and some storylines from a number of popular Disney films, and exploring themes of belonging, friendship and adventure, Frosted is suitable for all ages and promises to be a show the whole family can enjoy.

"After the last few Moree Secondary College musicals Pitch Perfect and Mean Girls that were aimed at older audiences, we really wanted to engage a primary school audience this year," director and Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) head teacher Stevie Drenkhahn said.

"We haven't done something like this for quite a few years and our students have really loved being involved in all the aspects from being on stage to painting sets and learning how to set up lighting rigs and learn about sound.

"As the CAPA head teacher, I'm very passionate about working with staff and students to create performances that bring our schools and wider community together. I am really lucky that I have such an amazing team of teachers to work with here at Moree Secondary College, as well as very supportive executive staff. All of the teachers and principals in our community really help to support CAPA movements in Moree, by being a part of and coming along to support different initiatives. Moree Secondary College is really becoming a big player in terms of providing amazing creative and performing arts opportunities for our students, from having dancers and choir members in Star Struck, to having two of our students selected for the State Aboriginal Dance Ensemble, and it all starts here, at home with our school musical, and music, dance, drama and visual arts classes."

The students have been busy rehearsing for Frosted over the past 12 weeks, and are excited to finally take the stage this week.

Three hundred primary school students will be getting a first-taste of the show, at the matinee session on Thursday, before the general public are invited to the 6pm sessions at the Multi-Purpose Centre on Thursday and Friday, August 15 and 16.
