Moree Plains Shire Council will be auctioning off a total of 15 abandoned motor vehicles, including a caravan and a motorbike, which have been impounded by council over the past year.
"When people abandon their vehicles, it's council's responsibility to deal with the," council's environment and compliance's Carrie Benson said.
"To be fair to the public, council holds an auction so everyone has equal opportunity to purchase one."
The auction will be held at council's depot in Tycannah Street on Saturday, August 10.

Viewing of the vehicles is permitted from 9am, with the auction to commence at 10am.
Prospective purchasers will need to register on the day on-site prior to the auction and will be required to provide valid photo identification.
Attendees must be 16 years or older, and suitable closed-in footwear is required for access to the depot.
All items will have a reserve and all bids are considered GST inclusive. Payment for vehicles is required by cash only and vehicles will be sold on an as is, where is basis. Purchased vehicles must be taken from council's depot.
