About a month ago, the Better Homes and Gardens crew visited the Moree Plains to showcase what the area has to offer.
Chef 'Fast' Ed Halmagyi visited Trawalla Stahmann Pecan Nut Farm to have a look at the farm and harvesting, as well as cook up a delicious dish using the local produce.
The visit from the show also included a stop at Gwydir Grove and the Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre (MAAC), to help further promote the Moree Plains.
Tourism Moree partnered with Destination NSW to help make it happen, and Tourism Moree CEO Tammy Elbourne said it was a great boost for the region.
"It's just a great, positive promotion on a platform that has a national media reach, an amount that is pretty good for our area," she said.
Tourism Moree played a big role in organising a stop at the MAAC, one of Moree's big attractions.
"These opportunities don't come along all the time but when they do you grab them," Mrs Elbourne said.
Mrs Elbourne said it's not just a big boost for tourism in the region, but for all the local products and producers, particularly in a tough time of drought.
"We're grateful to Destination NSW and Better Homes and Gardens to come out to Moree and showcase our product," she said.
"We thank them greatly and we thank all the organisers and producers that were involved.
"It's a great opportunity for some of these producers and products to be able to be exposed on a platform like that."
You can catch the new episode of Better Homes and Gardens tonight at 7pm on Channel 7.
