106 golfers competed in the open, including more than 60 from Moree, with others travelling from places like Tamworth, Coonabarabran, Armidale and even as far as Sydney.
It was a successful day for the local golfers who competed, with four of the winners across the grades from Moree.

The main award went to Uralla's Tim Murray, who was named the A Grade Gross Winner after a tie at the end of the 18 holes.
"Tim Murray and Josh Wilson were tied on 73," Moree golf pro David Wright said.
"Tim Murray won after a four hole playoff."
Wright was pleased to see some local golfers do well but said it was a fantastic day, with a large increase in numbers this year compared to last.
"It was an excellent day, very well run," Wright said.
"Everyone complimented on how well the day went."
"We went from 66 players last year to 106 this year. We tried a different format with the shotgun start which seemed to work.
"The course was in fantastic condition."
There is plenty happening at the Moree Golf Club over the next few weeks, with the NAIDOC Week Golf Tournament on Friday, a Tradies Ambrose on July 26 followed by the Junior Golf Open on August 4.
