Both grand finals ended up being rematches from last season, with Top Camp and Balls Up facing off in the mixed grand final, while Bluebirds and Diamonds went head-to-head in the ladies decider.
Top Camp have dominated the mixed competition for the past few years, and this season they continued their winning form, finishing equal first on the ladder with their grand final rivals Balls Up.
An under-strength Balls Up side, who were missing a few players, proved no match for Top Camp's speed and skill in the grand final and went down 18-30 against the reigning premiers.
Meanwhile, last season's runners-up Diamonds went through this season undefeated and finished on top of the ladies competition ladder ahead of Bluebirds.
However, in a repeat of last year, the Bluebirds ended up being the better team when it came to the grand final, on Thursday, July 4 and beat the Diamonds 20-14.
"Diamonds beat them all year, except when it came to the grand final, so it was a bit of an upset," Moree and District Netball Association treasurer Ashlee Johnston said.
This is the second season since MDNA took over the running of the indoor netball competition from Moree PCYC, and Johnston said it was another strong competition.
"Everything went smoothly," she said.
Team numbers were similar to last season, with eight teams in the Monday night mixed competition and seven in the Thursday night ladies division.
Johnston expects all teams from the summer competition will return to play the winter competition, which gets underway at the start of term three, on Monday, July 22.
Team nominations are currently being taken and must be in by Wednesday, July 17. To nominate a team, contact Ashlee Johnston on 0417 424 962 or ashlee.johnston@landmark.com.au.
