Jo won the Moree Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Customer Service Appreciation Award for June.
She has been a customer service assistant at the pharmacy for the past 35 years, seeing several owners and name changes to the business over that time.
"I love the staff and our Moree customers," she said of what she enjoys most about her job.
Having "never won a thing" in her life, Jo said she was very surprised but honoured to receive the Customer Service Appreciation Award, and thanked all who took the time to vote for her.

Jo was nominated for the award by Deb Holland who said she is a "worthy recipient" who "genuinely cares about people".
"I nominated Jo because nothing is ever a problem for her; if she can't give you an answer she will take you to the pharmacist and makes sure you are advised as to what you need," Deb said.
"When I go to the Amcal Chemist and can't find what I need I always look for Jo. She will get you what you need and is always friendly and up for a quick chat. She is genuinely interested in how you are doing.
"I think the customer appreciation award is a great initiative as there are way too many people who work in retail who have to put up with abuse every day. We need to let people know their good work and friendly demeanour does not go unnoticed or unappreciated."
Jo said that she really appreciated Deb for nominating her.
"It was so kind of her," she said.
Jo received plenty of congratulations from the Moree community.
Linda Macey said the pharmacy is lucky to have such a caring staff member.
"I was at the pharmacy a couple of weeks ago sick, but just wanted something to ease the pain," she said.
"This lady was so compassionate and caring to get the pharmacist and then directing me to the doctors. After seeing the doctor and coming back with a prescription, again, the caring attention was there. Congratulations."
Voting for the July 2019 award is now open. To vote for who you believe deserves recognition head to the Moree Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Facebook page.
