On Wednesday, August 28, the 2019 Weengallon Champagne Pink Ladies Day, held between Goondiwindi and St George, will say 'Cheers to 20 years'.
The day began in 2000 when 40 women gathered in a tin shed in the little red-ridge town to raise money to buy cleaning products for their new mobile kindy.
Now in its 20th year, Weengallon Pink Ladies Day (WPLD) will serve up a luscious day of shopping, lunch and laughter in one of the largest marquees in the southern hemisphere.
WPLD coordinator Emma Montgomery said more tables and supporting infrastructure has been added to accommodate the growing success of the glamorous bush charity event.

"Every year Weengallon Pink Ladies Day nourishes the soul by bringing beautiful, strong women together and creating a day of energy, joy and sparkle that celebrates all that is good in life," she said.
"We are loving our champagne theme this year which provides the perfect opportunity for friends to pop some bubbly and toast Weengallon's amazing milestone."
Another milestone to be celebrated on the day will be Gabi Pechey's 21st Birthday.
Gabi and her sisters Erin and Alex attended their first Weengallon Pink Ladies Day last year to honour their adored mother Janine Pechey, "Erambie", Glenmorgan who passed away in March 2018 after a long battle with breast cancer.
The sisters said Weengallon was one of their Mum's favourite events on the social calendar.
2018 would have been her ninth consecutive year of joining hundreds of like-minded women to frock up, sip champagne and support a wonderful cause.
"For us attending Weengallon last year for the first time was incredibly special and bittersweet," Gabi said.
"This day is a true testament to the hardworking WPLD committee and our supportive, generous rural community."
This year's Weengallon Pink Ladies Day will also challenge the public focus on early breast cancer and fighting and winning the battle by asking, What if you knew you couldn't win?
Answering that question will be the fabulous Leanne Murphy from Crows Nest, who has been living with advanced breast cancer for three years.
"Leanne Murphy's story really puts life in perspective," Mrs Montgomery said.
"It also makes you realise how important our fundraising is."
WPLD has seen the employment of Breast Cancer Nurses in St George and Goondiwindi, the provision of free accommodation for cancer patients through the Olive McMahon Lodge, as well as funding BPCAQ targeted grants for local patients.
To commemorate the 20th year and all that Weengallon means to so many, Christina Duddy from The Diamond Hunter, has commissioned and donated a $5000 pink morganite and diamond dress ring as a special premium raffle prize.
Mrs Montgomery said that Weengallon's traditional extensive line-up of raffle prizes will still be headlined by a bespoke strand of Panda Pearls.
However, she said only 250 tickets will be sold in The Diamond Hunter Premium Raffle and those $25 tickets will be only available at Christina Duddy's store at Weengallon on the day.
"We have almost 40 luxury stores this year so the day will be awash with diamonds and pearls," Mrs Montgomery said.
Mrs Montgomery said the success of WPLD wouldn't have been achieved without the generosity of a long list of sponsors including South West Toyota Group, Range Event Hire, Stuartholme, Bentleys, Clayfield College, Nudgee, St Hilda's, B&W Rural and so many more.
Tickets for the 2019 Weengallon Champagne Pink Ladies Day go on sale on Monday, July 22 through the website www.pinkladiesday.com.
