A small number of students gathered at Rocket Park to paint the artworks to be hung outside the school's toilets to replace the current murals that are around 20 years old.
Four murals were painted, one each for the boys and girls and also two extras of Australia's animals; kangaroos emus.
The students also enjoyed a barbecue and the chance to spend time with each other before splitting off for school holidays.
Former NRL player Preston Campbell, who is in Moree for the State of Mind Education Session, also dropped in to visit the students.
As an NRL ambassador and mental health advocate, Mr Campbell said it's important to get involved in the local communities whenever he visits and "drive in some of the more important messages outside of the mental health stuff."
"Obviously education is one that I'm a big believer in, that the more educated you are the more opportunities or the more choices you feel you have once you leave school," he said.
"Just talking about attitude and the importance of believing in themselves and having a plan."
Mr Campbell said it's mainly about spending time with the students and making a connection.
"It's just letting these young ones know that there are people out there that really want them to be successful," he said.
"Successful, as we know, it's not about making a stack of money or living in a big house with fancy cars. Successful for a lot of us is just being happy, being able to relate to people and live a life where we can make a contribution to our families and our communities."
