The Moree Cycling and Triathlon Club was well represented last weekend in the Balmoral junior cycling tour held in Ipswich and Brisbane.

Jock Riley, Norman Roberts, Hugh Ross, Jesse James, Sunny Henderson and Sam Carter competed in four events across the two days, which included an individual time trial, road race, hill climb and criterium.
To compete in four events was a particularly big achievement for Jesse, Sunny and Sam as it was their first ever race, while Norman showed his toughness after returning to riding only two weeks ago from a severely broken collarbone.

Jock Riley continued his consistent improvement in racing and Hugh Ross finished in 8th position overall, which was all the more impressive considering he was racing against some of the best riders in Queensland with many of them having years of experience compared to his few months.
The riders now look forward to racing on their home turf when the club commences its fortnightly racing in a few weeks.
