The teams have gone through a number of changes since the last time they faced.
With the club struggling for numbers and players consistently turning up for games and training due to work schedules and other various reasons, there was discussion about whether two teams was still viable.
A decision was made to create a 'ones' team and a 'twos' team, before the club was boosted by some new arrivals that allowed for two even sides to remain.
With a few changes in personnel, the coaches have also switched, with Darrel Smith now coaching Moree 2 while Matthew Urquhart has taken over Moree 1.

Urquhart was overall pleased with the side's win but knows there's still more work to do.
"When we were moving the ball around our passing was good, but I think sometimes we got a little bit too excited and wanted to go at goal a little bit too much," Urquhart said.
"When we calmed things down a little bit we got back into our rhythm."
On top of the changes within the club, Moree 1 were missing a few players in their midfield, and a few players were thrown into the mix.
"I think us having a little bit of a shuffle around got us out of sorts and allowed the other side to put us under a bit of pressure for a lot of the game, but I was quite happy with the end score being 3-1 to us," Urquhart said.
"They were actually unlucky not to score more goals. They had quite a few opportunities.
"It was a tight game that could've ended up a little different. It was a good game from both ends."
Urquhart highlighted striker Bailey Bourke as one of his side's best.
"He was good at finding the ball up in that front line and moving into space and creating a bit of pressure on their backline."
Despite the loss, Smith was still pleased with his side's efforts as they're still trying to work on their formations and structure.
"Even though the other side scored three goals, one was towards the end," Smith said.
"It was still a fairly close game. We probably missed a couple of players that would've added strength, a couple of midfielders.
"We're having the same approach with the new structure and we'll start to see the benefits towards the end of the season."
Smith said Kenny Wright was one of his side's standouts in a shorthanded midfield, while back Dan McLaren and forward Joe Coleman also stood out.
Both sides have experienced mixed results over the last few weeks, with Moree 1's game prior to the derby was a 2-0 loss to top-of-the-table Narrabri FC.
"It was quite a tough game where they scored off our mistakes," Urquhart said.
"They were lucky to get their two goals. If we didn't make those mistakes it was probably going to be a nil-all game.
"It was quite back and forth and actually a good game to be a part of. I enjoy close, tough games like that."
Moree 2 have had three losses over their last three games, but are starting to find more consistency.
"When you have six or seven new players, it took us those first few games trying to work out where they play," Smith said.
"Our tactics are working well. We've just got to build up a bit more fitness and a bit more consistency with players in their positions."
Moree 2 have the bye this weekend while Moree 1 prepare for an away trip to take on Wee Waa United.
