And now a new era dawns for this prime positioned premises, with the owners regrettably offering the site for sale via an Online Unreserved Public Auction.
Marking the first auction of its kind for Moree Real Estate, Bev Mansfield - one of the owners of the site at 325 Gosport Street - said the sale would generate interest from across the country.
"This block is in such a prominent location on the Moree Bypass and set within a tourism hub - the Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre is only 90 metres away, and it's surrounded by a number of highly successful businesses," she said.

Paul Kelly of Moree Real Estate believed the 1,716m2 site represented enormous potential for development, at an affordable price.
"This space is highly visible from the Newell Highway, and with some two million vehicle movements going past annually the possibilities are endless," he said.
"While the building has been affected by fire, the theatre is still largely in place and could be renovated or demolished and used as a commercial vacant site."
With Moree renowned for its healing artesian waters, Paul believed the property offered a truly exciting opportunity to capitalise on the region's thriving, artesian-led tourist sector.
"Unlike most other inland and coastal centres across Australia, Moree enjoys water from both the Gwydir and Mehi Rivers and groundwater reserves, with our water a key attraction for industry and lifestyle."
"Tourism injects more than $65 million into Moree Plains Shire each year.
"Last year 170,000 visitors stayed one or more nights in Moree, which was a 23 per cent increase. International overnight visitation has also begun to trend upwards, with more than 4,000 international visitor nights recorded in 2018."
Previously listed for sale at $300,000, the Online Unreserved Public Auction will be held from June 20 to June 25, 2019.
"The owners want this prominent site on the bypass occupied and utilised, and we believe this auction could provide the right person with an enormous opportunity to capitalise on Moree's Newell Highway frontage and artesian capital status," Paul said.
