Hundreds of children from across the region set on Moree for the town's annual junior rugby carnival on Sunday.

Under 6s, under 8s, under 10s and under 12s teams from Moree, Narrabri, Inverell, Walcha, Tamworth, Scone, Gunnedah, Armidale, Quirindi and Coonabarabran all competed in the round robin competition held at Ron Harborne Oval.
It was a fantastic day of rugby, with almost perfect weather setting up some stellar play from all teams.
The under 8s, under 10s and under 12s all played around three games each, while the under 6s participated in some skills training.
Terrific sportsmanship was also on show with a number of clubs lending players or joining together to ensure everyone got a run.
The juniors will next travel to Scone for another gala day this Sunday, May 26.
