Commencing at 9.30am on Sunday, May 19, clubs from Inverell, Narrabri, Armidale, Tamworth, Scone, Gunnedah, Quirindi, Coonabarabran and Walcha will be bringing teams of under 6s, 8s, 10s and 12s to participate in the gala day at Ron Harborne Oval.
"We are expecting a lot of players to attend being only the second carnival of the season," Moree Junior Rugby Union Club president Damien McCormick said.
"We will have around 40 teams attending, equating to around 400 players. Along with parents and supporters we are expecting around 700 people to converge on Sunday morning for a fine day of running rugby.
"It is a great boost for the town with many visitors attending the hot pools and some groups even stay in town on Saturday night".
