Students got the opportunity to speak to representatives from a number of services, including Moree Family Support, Byamee, Regional Bank Australia, Samaritans, Centacare, Headspace, Homes North, TAFE NSW, Pius X, Centrelink and SHAE Academy to learn about the ways in which these services can offer support should they find themselves at risk of homelessness.
They also got to view a slideshow presenting information and statistics about youth homelessness and hear a number of stories from people who have gone through their own experiences of homelessness.

"The aim of the day is to get young people to know what services are available in Moree if they ever become at risk of homelessness or are actually in a homeless situation,"Moree Family Support youth homelessness case worker Crystal Trotter said.
"It's just so they can learn to be independent and know what they've got to do.
"So they know where we are, they know what services we offer and what support we offer."
