Balo Square Newsagency has received a massive second thumbs up from the Moree community, after winning the Moree Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Customer Service Appreciation Award for March.

Not only is it the second time the Moree newsagency has received the award, after also winning in March 2016, but they've also broken the record for the highest number of votes since the award began in 2015.
With at total of 720 votes registered for the 19 nominees, Balo Square Newsagency won by an overwhelming response to the voting with a staggering 266 votes.
Owners Archie and Rhonda Karam were humble in receiving the award from Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Facebook page administrator Tanya Fitch.

"I spoke to Rhonda as she was dashing out to deliver some magazines to the Moree Library, with her ever-present smile she was very happy to be receiving the award again," Ms Fitch said.
"When Archie was presented with the award he was very humble and downplayed the recognition for their hard work by saying 'we do what we can'."
Archie and Rhonda received plenty of congratulations and praise from members of the Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Facebook group.
Michele Maurer King said they are "two of the nicest, most hardworking, generous people in Moree".
"This is so well deserved. Congratulations, Archie and Rhonda. You are champions!" she said.
"Congratulations Archie and Rhonda. We all appreciate the wonderful friendly welcome we all get when we go in and the 'no problem ' help you always give us," Julie Pryor added.
"Congratulations Rhonda and Archie, you both work such long hours, very well deserved," Cheryl M Thomson said.
"Truly well deserved. When we come back to Moree it's the only time I buy a paper as I love their passion for customer service and I love to support them," Tim N Toni Vanderwerf said.

Voting for the April Customer Service Appreciation Award closes at 12pm on Tuesday, April 30.
