2019 Moree Youth Week wraps up with pool party

A pool party at Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre wrapped up the successful 2019 Moree Youth Week on Monday.

About 50 children, many of whom were visiting Moree during the holidays, attended the pool party at Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre on Monday afternoon.

Children from Moree, Narrabri, Wee Waa, Goondiwindi, Brisbane and Sydney had fun playing games, competing in inflatable races and tug-of-war during the event, with plenty of prizes awarded. They also enjoyed free rides on the slide, and a free lunch.

The pool party, run in conjunction with Headspace, was the final event for Moree's 2019 Youth Week, organised by Moree Youth Council.

On Saturday, up to 60 children attended the skateboard workshop, run in conjunction with Red Frogs Australia.

About 70 people attended the Youth Week trivia night at Moree Services Club on Friday, and more than 100 children participated in touch football on Wednesday afternoon.

The Youth Council also hosted a playgroup Easter egg hunt with Centacare at Apex Park on Friday.
