The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Moree Hospital to transport the 80-year-old man back to Tamworth Base Hospital.
The man was suffering a serious medical condition that required further specialist treatment at Tamworth, according to an alert sent out by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS).
Earlier this month, the rescue chopper rushed to the aid of a five-year-old boy who was kicked in the head by a horse on a Moree property on Thursday, April 4.
The boy was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
A few days prior, the chopper transferred a six-month-old baby boy, who was suffering a medical condition, from Moree Hospital to John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle.
