Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service transfers 80-year-old man from Moree to Tamworth Base Hospital

An elderly man was flown to Tamworth Base Hospital for further treatment for a serious medical condition on Sunday night.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Moree Hospital to transport the 80-year-old man back to Tamworth Base Hospital.

The man was suffering a serious medical condition that required further specialist treatment at Tamworth, according to an alert sent out by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS).

The boy was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

A few days prior, the chopper transferred a six-month-old baby boy, who was suffering a medical condition, from Moree Hospital to John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle.
