The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Moree Hospital on Sunday night (March 31) to transfer a six-month-old boy to John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle.
The baby boy was suffering from a medical condition, according to an alert sent out by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) on Monday morning (April 1).
No further details on the baby's condition were provided by the WRHS at the time.
Earlier last month a young man suffering from a chest injury was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital from Moree Hospital. That same week, a 34-year-old man had to be airlifted to John Hunter Hospital after suffering serious leg injuries while using a brush cutter.
