Bronte is one of about 16 showgirls from all over the New England North West to compete at the Zone Four Showgirl final, to be held at The Crossing Theatre Narrabri on Saturday, February 23.
She was named the 2018 Moree Showgirl at last year's Moree Show and is now looking forward to progressing to the next stage of the showgirl competition.
"I am very honoured to represent Moree at the Zone Four Showgirl final," she said.
"I am extremely looking forward to showcasing the Moree Show and expressing my passion for the Moree community.
"I am very grateful to have another opportunity to meet other women who are zealous about their communities and discuss the current issues facing rural NSW.
"I hope to be inspired and bring back ideas that may improve our show and make a positive difference to our local community."
In November last year, Bronte attended the Polish Works Standout Showgirl Retreat in Glen Innes with seven other showgirls from around the zone, during which they were taught basic etiquette and given advice on health, nutrition and fashion.
They also discussed the criteria of the competition, and had the opportunity to participate in a mock interview in preparation for zone.
"I had the chance to meet an inspiring group of like-minded women and learn essential skills that has enhanced both self and professional growth," Bronte said.
"The most important lesson that I took away from this two-day workshop is that when you empower yourself and empower others, nothing is off limits and you are unstoppable."
Bronte has loved every minute of her showgirl experience so far and said it's been an "incredible journey".
"Not only have I gained a closer insight into the operations of the Moree Show, I have met some inspiring community members of Moree and have made many new friends," she said.
"When I first entered the competition, I aspired to re-engage with the community after living away for a number of years. This program has exceeded all of my expectations and the knowledge I have gained is invaluable."
Bronte highly recommends the competition and encourages any young woman who has thought about entering to give it a go.
"It is not based on looks or where you grew up, it is not even about working in the agricultural industry - the showgirl competition is a chance to represent the community you love, an opportunity to empower women, it offers various opportunities to learn more about rural NSW and, most importantly, encourages you to better yourself," she said.
The Sydney Royal Showgirl Competition has been around for almost 60 years and aims to find a young woman to act as an ambassador for rural and regional NSW.
Moree Show Society is currently calling on young women, aged 18 to 25, to consider entering this year's showgirl competition.
Showgirl coordinator Kate Lumber - 2017 Moree Showgirl and state finalist in The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl Competition - said the competition is a chance to engage with the local community.
"It is a great opportunity for personal and professional growth and empowers young rural women to become active leaders in their community," she said.
"It's not a beauty pageant it's a personal development program."
