"Every Valentine's Day we do the Sacred Heart Hospice down at Darlinghurst, and give all the old ladies that are not going home a red rose and a present for Valentine's Day," Mr Rawson said.

He usually joins his club members in Sydney but due to work commitments he wasn't able to make it down there this year.

However, that didn't stop him from spreading some cheer as he visited Moree Hospital instead to put a smile on the patients' faces.

Mr Rawson said Kings Cross Bikers is a "social and welfare club 100 percent" that is committed to giving back to the community.

They regularly visit children's hospitals to give out presents that are donated to the club.

"That's what we are and what we do. There's too much nonsense in life to stand back and do nothing," he said.

"If good people do nothing, then what is good? So that's what we do, that's what we are."

Mr Rawson also took the time out to recognise Linda Barnett, who was a nurse at Moree Hospital for 49 years.

She joined Mr Rawson as he walked through the hospital, visiting patients and brightening up their day and at the end she received a few roses of her own.

Mr Rawson also visited Grafton Base Hospital on Valentine's Day a few years ago when he couldn't make it back to Sydney to once again cheer up those who couldn't make it home.

"It was the first time Grafton had seen anything like this," he said.

"A biker from Kings Cross turning up and just giving out presents randomly to the ladies on Valentine's Day."
