Strong winds on Tuesday picked up the dust blowing over Canberra before it slowly blanketed much of the state.
The dust, combined with smoke from the devastating Tingha fire - which has burnt through well over 12,000 hectares in the Tingha, Old Mill and Stanborough area with no sign of slowing down, and so far destroyed six homes and damaged five - left Moree with covered in a smokey pink haze on Wednesday.
We asked our readers to send us their photos of the dust haze, and the above gallery was compiled with what was sent in.
If you took a great photo of the dust or smoke, send it to moreechampion@fairfaxmedia.com.au and we'll add it to our gallery.
