The Suns only enjoyed three wins last season but things are looking up for the club heading into their fifth year in the league.
A new coach, some old faces returning and a couple of new recruits have them primed for a brighter season in 2019.
New senior men’s coach Eric Faulkner brings with him a wealth of experience, and is already pleased with what he’s been seeing at training.
Numbers at training have been stronger than ever and everyone has been working extremely hard as they prepare for the upcoming season.
“It's the best numbers certainly since I've been here in 18 months,” he said.
“So last few weeks, we've had 30 plus, it’s excellent compared to where we've been at in the last few years.”

Faulkner has been hard at work not only on the field but also off the field.
He wants to create a strong culture, something which has been missing at the club.
A good culture and happy players will then lead to the desired results on the field.
“There wasn't really that good of a culture here at the Suns,” Faulkner said.
“So that's our main goal is just getting the boys together, keeping them together, having a good time, working on the culture from the ground up so hopefully everyone's on board.”
“We're all on the same page and we're all buying in to this amazing culture and I think the wins will look after themselves.”
The Suns have also got a couple of new faces that will help strengthen the side for the 2019 season.
“It’s good for the town, not only for the footy club,” Faulkner said.
“So it's good to get new people into the town with their experiences, especially with Aussie rules, this being a rugby league and rugby union town.”
“It's really good stuff and hopefully we can start attracting more people to town with a bit of Aussie rules background.”
The Suns have scheduled a preseason match against Sawtell planned for March 16.
It will be a good chance to test their fitness and skills just a few weeks out from the start of the regular season.
The Suns men train at 7.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Moree Showgrounds.
